Dr. Sydney Ellen

Dr. Sydney Ellen, originally from Columbia, SC, completed her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Biology at the University of South Carolina. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Following graduation, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency at the University of Florida St. Petersburg Clinic, where she expanded her education and experience in cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, dental surgery, and dental implants.

Dr. Ellen is dedicated to making her patients feel at ease and takes pride in thoroughly explaining what they can expect from treatment. She is passionate about building trust and providing personalized care to help patients achieve their ideal smile, both esthetically and functionally. As a lifelong learner, Dr. Ellen is committed to continuously expanding her knowledge and skills, ensuring she provides exceptional care by addressing the complete needs of each patient. Her dedication to service is also reflected in her dental mission trips across South America, where she has worked to improve oral health in underserved communities.

Outside of the office, Dr. Ellen enjoys running, reading, trying new restaurants, and spending time on the water whenever she can. She is excited to join the Mint Hill community and looks forward to helping patients in the Charlotte area feel confident in their smiles.
